• Courtney W. Houchen, MD is  founder and Chief Medical Adviser of COARE.  He is a professor of medicine,  and holds the Frances and Malcolm Robinson Chair. and  is the Chief of Digestive Diseases & Nutrition in the Department of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center ((OUHSC).He is a leader in the field of adult stem cell biology. He has received grants from the NIH,  Department of Defense and the State of Oklahoma and is currently a receipient of the UO1 grant from the NIDDK as member of Intestinal Stem Cell Consortium.  He has published over 62 papers, editorials and book chapters in peer reviewed medical journals and books. He also holds 5 patents in the field of gastrointestinal cancer and stem cell biology. He received his M.D. degree at Temple University in 1990 and was a fellow in gastroenterology at Washington University (1993-1997) after a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. From 1999 to 2006, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at Washington University in Saint Louis. In 2006 he was recruited to assume the role of Chief of the section of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition at OUHSC.
  • Frank E. Griffith Jr. is president of COARE.  He brings proven leadership with 25 years experience in both sales and marketing in the pharmaceutical industry. He was Brand Director for the Roche Hepatitis C Specialty Care Marketing Team.  Frank was critical  in creating multicultural healthcare marketing initiatives.  These initiatives produced a three to one return on investment and helped expand the Roferon-A Pegylated Interferon market.  He holds both Masters of Science and an  MBA degree.
  • Eddie Bannerman-Menson is the Chief of Operations and  executive business manager of COARE. His overall responsibility includes  the day-to-day management of the company.  He oversees all organizational operations including contracts administration, finance, accounting, and facilities management and HR functions.  He supports the implementation of research & development tools that support product development  with direct oversight of R&D projects, staff, and regulatory guidelines. He is responsible for the preparation, execution and management of COARE’s extramural funding activities.  Eddie spent the last 15 years working for technology and startup companies in various communications and marketing roles.[hr_shadow]
